Orchid Vase Low

In his close relationship with nature, the legendary glass artist Göran Wärff was inspired to create a distinctively shaped art object in vibrant colors, which resulted in Orchid. The magnificent art object is mouth-blown by hand at Kosta Glassworks in Sweden and is part of the Kosta Boda Artist Collection. The free-hand technique makes each art piece unique.

Orrefors

Squeeze Vase Clear Tulip

The billowy shape of the Squeeze Vase from Orrefors looks different from different angles, depending on its placement. After the vase is blown, and while still hot, it is "squeezed" together by hand in two places. These "squeezes" form a cross inside the vase, which holds the flowers in place, making the vase well-suited for a variety of bouquets. Also functional as a bowl. Designed by Lena Bergström and made in Europe.

Red Rim Bottle (blue)

Red Rim, Designed by Bertil Vallien, is hand-made in several steps. First, the first parison of crystal is rolled in powdered color. The color is then heated before the parison is blown into a shape that gives the molten glass its optical pattern. Clear glass is gathered over the parison to enclose the optical pattern in the glass, and then the glass is blown into its final form and shaped into a bowl or a vase. Finally, the piece is attached to a glass-blowing pipe and blown up a touch more before the red rim is applied from a color rod.

Twine Large Blue Vase

"I have been inspired by the ability of glass to flow freely and in a playful way, yet it is strict and clean. In Twine I have combined these two qualities into a vase which I think reflects the light in an exciting way so that it can be just as beautiful with or without flowers." Glass is poured by hand over the mouth-blown vases to form an organic pattern. Anna Ehrner
