Kosta Boda

The Rocky Baroque Collection from Kosta Boda is an equally rebellious and playful remix of the classic column. Monumental lines collide with pop colors and raw, angular surfaces in this unique collection of candleholders. Not least in this tall candlestick in Glossy Glaze, which is handmade in Sweden in a limited edition of 500 pieces. Design by Hanna Hansdotter.

Drifter expresses simplicity and space with an encased figure in copper that flows freely in the boat. It is Bertil Vallien's latest form of boats including a black and white glass spiral to which he often returns. Drifter has a glass base that makes it stand firmly without additional support.

The Crackle collection is a tribute to cracks, beautifully preserved in glass. The tall amber vase with pink elements has a sculptural, expressive exterior created using an old craft technique, where the hot glass is dipped in ice-cold water. The Crackle Bowl Tall Pink design is inspired by frozen ice that has just cracked. The design influence is from the convergence of hotglass and cold water that creates a crackled finish. The designer wanted to create a surface reminiscent of frozen, crusted ice. A crunchy, crackling feel. The techniqueis old, but the designer uses it in her own personal way. The Crackle series is hand made mouth blown in Kosta, Sweden by Desinger Åsa Jungnelius. It takes 8 artisan to create one piece. Ideal for functional bowl and stand alone art piece.
