Kosta Boda

With Earth Midnight, the renowned glass artist Bertil Vallien has created a miniature world inspired by our place on the planet. The object in clear glass is colored dark blue and has a small house, hand-painted with real 21 karat gold, at the top. Earth Midnight is handmade at Kosta Glassworks in Sweden and is part of the Kosta Boda Artist Collection. Functional for desk accessory and stand alone art glass.

In his close relationship with nature, the legendary glass artist Göran Wärff was inspired to create a distinctively shaped art object in vibrant colors, which resulted in Orchid. The magnificent art object is mouth-blown by hand at Kosta Glassworks in Sweden and is part of the Kosta Boda Artist Collection. The free-hand technique makes each art piece unique.

Meadow Winter is like a warm embrace, perfect for creating flower arrangements like a small meadow frozen in time. During the production the vases are rolled in crushed pieces of white glass, which makes each vase unique. The Contrast candle in Coastal Bloom has notes of Sheer Lemon, Aromatic Rosemary, Red Currant, Fresh Jasmine, Raw Honey Nectar, Sea Salt Accord, Green Leafy Stems, Earthy Geranium, and White Amber. The candle vessel is a blue Contrast bowl from Kosta Boda, designed by Anna Ehrner. It's made using a technique called centrifuging. This technique creates veils of color within the glass, and vibrant glass canes are added during the process, making each product unique. It's all about the contrasts!

The Pagod Vase Large clear uses a technique called underlay is used to create multiple layers of glass in Pagod from Kosta Boda. The clear glass forms a shell over the colored glass, allowing its inner beauty to shine through. Beautiful inside and out, literally, Pagod is a temple for flowers and makes them soar to new heights. The collection is mouth-blown. Designed by Anne Nilsson and made in Europe. Kjell has a penchant for designing challenging models and has a great respect for the glassblowers of Småland. Organic free forms fire the imagination. Colorful, playful and filled with bubbles. "The poppy flower is associated with Demeter - the Greek goddess of fertility and harvest. My inspiration comes from a poppy that just is opening... The colors symbolize the different color schemes of daylight, rain, frost and sun. The amazing shape with its unevenness and texture was somewhat of a challenge to make in glass"
