Kosta Boda

The Crackle collection is a tribute to cracks, beautifully preserved in glass. The intriguing design has a sculptural, expressive exterior that is created using an old craft technique, where the hot glass is dipped in ice-cold water. Crackle is mouth-blown in Kosta and designed by Åsa Jungnelius. This small vase is made of circular glass.

With Mirage, the artist and designer Göran Wärff found inspiration from nature and light, especially in the reflection of light and optical illusions. The object is a sculpture, a vase, and an art piece, available in a wide range of colors. To create a spectacular object like Mirage, an angled pipe is used to form its distinctive curved shape. Mirage is handmade in Kosta, Sweden, and is part of the Kosta Boda Artist Collection.

How does a particular design come about? The inspiration for this 17 3/4" vase originated in the designer's love of music, the long necks of the bottles reminiscent of organ pipes. The colors were inspired by shimmering rainbows. Hand made and mouth blown in Sweden.

The Crackle Bowl Pink design is inspired by frozen ice that has just cracked. The design influence is from the convergence of hotglass and cold water that creates a crackled finish. The designer wanted to create a surface reminiscent of frozen, crusted ice. A crunchy, crackling feel. The techniqueis old, but the designer uses it in her own personal way. The Crackle series is hand made mouth blown in Kosta, Sweden by Desinger Åsa Jungnelius. It takes 8 artisan to create one piece. Ideal for functional bowl for fruit, bowl, and stand alone art piece.

The Contrast Collection from Kosta Boda is made using a technique called centrifuging. This technique creates veils of color within the glass, and vibrant glass rods are added during the process, making each product unique. It's all about the contrasts! The small bowl is absolutely perfect for snacks, candy, condiments and home decor. Designed in Sweden by Anna Ehrner and made in Europe.

The Rocky Baroque Candlestick is between sculpture and utility object. Monumental contours meet raw, jagged surfaces and vibrant colors make this candlestick different by design. Designed in Sweden by artist Hanna Hansdotter and handmade in Kosta Sweden. Available in limited edition of 500 pieces.
