Kosta Boda

Artistic and expressive by Anna Ehrner at her best. Swirling lines and veils of color have become something of Anna's personal trademark - setting off and standing out against each other in elegant contrast and making every piece unique.

The Kappa series is mouth-blown and inspired by the bubble - or kappa, in Swedish - that spills over the edge of the mold during the production process. The Kappa vases, big and small, are a tribute to Kosta Boda's long artisanal history. The new mini vase comes in three shapes, heights, and colorways. A playful take on their predecessors. The Contrast series from Kosta Boda is manufactured using a technique called centrifugation. The technique, invented in Sweden's Kingdom of Crystal in the 1950s, creates veils of color inside the glass mass. In combination with the color powder and sticks added during the process, each piece becomes unique. The white/white vase is beautiful on its own, and even more so with your favorite flowers. The gorilla invites each viewer to make their own interpretation of its mystifying exterior. That it demands attention is nevertheless indisputable. The Polar clear large art piece was Designer Göran Wärff. The designer created the Polar series with inspiration from landscapes and ice. Polar is a bold, artistic object from the archives of Kosta Boda. It originally launched in 1974 after its creation as a gift for the Sydney Opera House. Glass is a liquid.
