Kosta Boda

Meadow Winter is like a warm embrace, perfect for creating flower arrangements like a small meadow frozen in time. During the production the vases are rolled in crushed pieces of white glass, which makes each vase unique. The tall vase from Kosta Boda is made to hold tall tulips or sunflowers in a magnificent manner, or shine bright on its own like a star during a cold winter night. The Crackle Vase XL Large design is inspired by frozen ice that has just cracked. The design influence is from the convergence of hot glass and cold water that creates a crackled finish. The designer wanted to create a surface reminiscent of frozen, crusted ice. A crunchy, crackling feel. The technique is old, but the designer uses it in her own personal way. The Crackle series is hand made, mouth blown in Kosta, Sweden by Desinger Åsa Jungnelius. It takes 8 artisan to create one piece. Ideal for functional vase and stand alone art piece.
