Kosta Boda

In his close relationship with nature, the legendary glass artist Göran Wärff was inspired to create a distinctively shaped art object in vibrant colors, which resulted in Orchid. The magnificent art object is mouth-blown by hand at Kosta Glassworks in Sweden and is part of the Kosta Boda Artist Collection. The free-hand technique makes each art piece unique.

The Crackle Vase XL Large design is inspired by frozen ice that has just cracked. The design influence is from the convergence of hot glass and cold water that creates a crackled finish. The designer wanted to create a surface reminiscent of frozen, crusted ice. A crunchy, crackling feel. The technique is old, but the designer uses it in her own personal way. The Crackle series is hand made, mouth blown in Kosta, Sweden by Desinger Åsa Jungnelius. It takes 8 artisan to create one piece. Ideal for functional vase and stand alone art piece.

The tall Limelight vase amber has a collar that perfectly frames and highlights any bouquet, and its shape makes it ideal for long-stem flowers. Like all the items in the Limelight collection from Kosta Boda, this vase has the distinctive, textured base that optically reflects light. Meadow Spring is as colorful and lively as a flower meadow that comes to life during the first sunny days of spring. During the production the vases are rolled in crushed pieces of colored glass, which makes each vase unique. The vase from Kosta Boda is made to embrace an abundant flower bouquet, or on its own shine just as bright as the sun on a brilliant spring day. Designed in Sweden by Sara Persson and made in Europe. The Crackle bowl blue is recycled glass and each piece will be unique in design and have color variation from light blue to dark blue. The Crackle collection has an expressive, sculptural exterior created using an old handicraft technique in which the hot glass is dipped in ice-cold water. The circular glass that Crackle Circular is made of, makes the products different in color, and the small bubbles created during the process of making recycled glass into a new product, make each vase unique. The Polar clear large art piece was Designer Göran Wärff. The designer created the Polar series with inspiration from landscapes and ice.
