Orrefors

Orrefors Nobel Decanter, 40 oz, hand made in Sweden, 22 kt gold trim was designed for the Nobel Prize Banquet. Orrefors is one of the official suppliers to the Nobel Prize Banquet and Purveyors to the H.M. the King of Sweden. Gunnar Cyrén designed the Nobel series to mark the 90th anniversary of the Nobel Prize Banquet in 1991. Since then, Nobel Laureates and royalties have raised Orrefors Nobel glasses in the toasts at the banquet in Stockholm City Hall in December each year. The series has been praised for its elegance and personal design.

Metropol Champagne from Orrefors, available as a set of 2, holds 9 oz and is suitable for all sparkling drinks, with the tall, narrow shape of the bowl preserving the bubbles in the beverage. The champagne glass is mouth-blown in Sweden by expert glassblowers and inspired by Erika Lagerbielke's classic Intermezzo design, but with a drop of black sealed inside the stem and a bowl with a more angular and austere shape. Metropol Champagne is perfect for serving sparkling wines like Champagne, Prosecco, and Cava as well as cocktails such as Mimosa.

The billowy shape of the Squeeze Vase from Orrefors looks different from different angles, depending on its placement. After the vase is blown, and while still hot, it is "squeezed" together by hand in two places. These "squeezes" form a cross inside the vase, which holds the flowers in place, making the vase well-suited for a variety of bouquets. Designed by Lena Bergström and made in Europe.
